Testing Facilities
CIEMAT Building 42
The Building 42 facility contains five small PV arrays at the top of the south, east and west façades. They consist of three 4 kW PV arrays (each one with 7s x 2p electrical configuration) on the east façade, another 4 kW array (7s x 2p) on the west façade, and one 8 kW array (7s x 4p) on the south façade. Façade azimuths are 82°, 172°, and 262° for East, South, and West, respectively. The east and west arrays contain SunPower E20-327 modules and Fronius IG Plus 50 V-1 inverters (one inverter per array). The south PV array contains SunPower E18-325 modules and a Fronius IG Plus 100 V-3 inverter. The main electrical parameters (i.e., output current, voltage, and power) and the relevant meteorological variables have been monitored since 2016.
